Solo live songs recorded 27th February 2009 at The Phoenix Arts Centre, Leicester, UK.

I remember that this was one of a set of solo live sets I did to rehearse and bring back some old songs in the run up to my 20th Anniversary In Showbusiness concert. I tried to feature a song from each album chronologically, which I did for tracks 1-5, then a whistle break track 6, then 7. Then things get mixed up but 3 more albums get a track played. "Future Beige" was the new song and wasn't released til 2011's Time Traveller album. there are songs from 9 different studio albums!

The recording came out well and I mastered it with a view to release it, but when I'd recorded my 20th Anniversary concert, released it as Live & Peace & Outer Space, there was no need for another live album so on a file on my computer it stayed and I forgot all about it. Til now - my 30th Anniversary Year, so it seemed like a good time to release it.

Phoenix Arts Centre closed in June that year - a played a few songs on a farewell night, but for my solo songs concerts, this was The Last Phoenix.
